Fans compliment Luka Doncic after he puts up a historic triple-double performance against Lithuania to lead Slovenia to their maiden Basketball Olympics appearance.

Luka Doncic is one of the best talents in the entire NBA. Despite being only 22-years-old, the Dallas Mavericks superstar has proven to be a generational talent. And will for sure be one of the future faces of the league. In only 3 seasons, Doncic has put up a well-respected resume and achieved quite surreal feats.

This 2020-2021 campaign too, Doncic was on a tear. After averaging 27.7 points, 8.6 assists and 8 rebounds per game in the regular season, Luka and his Mavericks nearly knocked out Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers from the first round of the postseason.

After torching the league on fire, Doncic has successfully led Slovenia to their first-ever Olympics appearance. On Sunday night, after already blowing out Angola, Poland and Venezuela, Luka and his Slovenian team defeated Domantas Sabonis and Lithuania in the finals of the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

Basketball fans praise Luka Doncic for leading Slovenia to their maiden Basketball Olympics appearance

It was an incredible outing for Luka, who put up a historic 31-point triple-double, to help his team win 96-85. Fans couldn’t have been more impressed with the 6-foot-7 swingman. They complimented the 2-time All-Star while congratulating the Slovenian team for their success.

Luka Doncic and his Slovenian team will now be a part of Group C, consisting of Argentina, Japan and Spain, at the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games.
