"Luka Doncic!": Jayson Tatum's Teammate Picks Mavericks Guard Over Celtics Star in Stunning Reveal

Every year there’s at least one player in the NBA draft that becomes a superstar in the league, but since the 2018 draft class, there have been players who are taking over a franchise and have become the face of it. Luka Doncic tops that list.

The #3 pick of the 2018 draft, is now an MVP candidate and is everything that Mark Cuban expected him to be when Dirk Nowitzki was handing Luka the baton.

At 23, the Magician from Slovenia is doing everything better than most of the top-3 picks of the last decade. In fact, better than everyone apart from the #3 pick of 2017 – Jayson Tatum.

However, when the last year’s Eastern Conference MVP’s own teammate was asked about whom he’d want to start a franchise with, he chose Doncic over Tatum, Zion Williamson, and every other young superstar in the league.

Grant Williams picks Luka Doncic for building a franchise around

Grant Williams was one of the strongest pillars of the Celtics’ defense last year when they made a title run for the East and Jayson Tatum emerged as the top youngster in the league who is ready to be a superstar, and now actually is.

However, in an appearance on a podcast, when he was asked about whom he would like to build a franchise around the Celtics forward didn’t hesitate to say Luka Doncic at all. Zion Williamson was his second thought.

Maybe, Tatum plays with so much maturity, not in comparison with the Slovenian sensation, but in general, that his teammate forgot that he is just a year older than Doncic.

Tatum and Doncic are not the only hopes after LeBron James and Stephen Curry

Once the superstars of the past decade call it day, countless fans will be hurt seeing their childhood heroes for the last time playing basketball for the last time. But, on the brighter side, NBA was never prepared this well for the handover. Ever.

One could argue for when Michael Jordan handed it over to Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and other young superstars who would reign for the next 15 years, but that’s it.

With Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic, and Joel Embiid already leading their way, Luka, Tatum, Ja Morant, Zion Williamson, and the list goes on and on for the young guns who are ready for the take-over now. We are pretty sure they will not disappoint us.
