Michael Jordan is a man renowned for his NBA dominance and his extreme competitiveness. The man simply does not like to lose. And, when threatened with the prospect of a loss, he takes things to a whole other level. In other words, he takes things personally.

There have been plenty of occasions when MJ has taken things personally. More often than not, it’s when an opponent questions his ability or decides to talk trash. And in such cases, it always ends with the six-time NBA Champion teaching them why exactly he is called the GOAT.
However, there are times when even he takes it too far. After all, sometimes it’s better to just ignore something rather than take it to heart. But, in the case of Jordan, he shows no mercy. Even when it comes to his own children Jeffrey and Marcus Jordan. Both of whom talked trash with their father, and paid the price.
Michael Jordan taught his sons a lesson after they decided to talk trash to him
There are plenty of stories about times when players grossly underestimated the force that is Jordan. A mistake that often resulted in them taking gut-wrenching losses. From Bryon Russell to Charles Barkley, a lot of players have been on the receiving end of MJ’s wrath. But, no one expected the same to happen to his two sons.
Jeffrey and Marcus Jordan, much like their father were basketball players. When you’re a basketball player in the Jordan household, it’s no surprise when things get competitive. And, Jordan showed no mercy even to his own sons.
As he explained in an interview in 2007, Michael, who was dropping his son Jeffrey Jordan off at the University of Illinois, played against both his sons on a regular basis. But, as they grew older they started talking trash. And, His Airness, being the competitive soul that he is, didn’t hesitate to clap back, and even elevated his game in order to teach his sons a lesson. To the point, where they ever only beat him once.
“‘It gets to a point where he starts talking trash. Marcus starts talking trash. And then my game elevates.’ said Jordan. To which Jeffrey responded, ‘He starts talking trash too!’. ‘I do!’ replied Jordan, who continued, ‘It never ends. I end it. It ends when I finish it!'”
Just goes to show, you can be the GOAT’s own blood, and he still will not hesitate to show you that he’s the top dog.
Jeffrey and Marcus Jordan did not have the skills to reach the same level as their father
Being the sons of the legendary Michael Jordan, one would assume that both Jeffrey and Marcus are in the NBA. Unfortunately, both of them were unable to live up to their father’s great name. To start things off, they were never highly recruited as teenagers and their college careers were quite underwhelming. Just two of a number of reasons why the two never went pro.
Despite their inability to make it to the NBA, both Marcus and Jeffrey are doing well for themselves. Both men have found great success as budding entrepreneurs.
