“Mike Still Might Be Mad At Me”: Kevin Hart Once Pissed Off Michael Jordan With Silly Jokes Around His Dressing Sense

Michael Jordan isn’t exactly the most humourous person out there. He certainly didn’t win six Championships with laughter. However, he does enjoy the “occasional” trash talk here and there. That being said, he enjoys it when he is the one doing the talking. But, when Kevin Hart decided to roast him a little bit during a charity event about his dressing sense, His Airness was not impressed.

Over the course of his NBA career, MJ developed a reputation as a man who loved to talk smack and get in his opponents’ minds. Stories of him taking them out for dinner before decimating them in-game are legendary.

So, when Kevin Hart hosted a charity event on behalf of Jordan, he assumed the GOAT wouldn’t mind being made fun of. Unfortunately for the stand-up comedian, his jokes didn’t hit. Especially the ones about the Hall of Famer’s pants.

Kevin Hart is undoubtedly one of the biggest comedians in the world. But, back in the day, when he was still making a name for himself, the Philadelphia native would take any gig. One of which included a charity event hosted by Michael Jordan.

It was here that Hart was asked to be the MC of the evening. Noticing the crowd was lacking energy, Kevin decided to do what he does best, crack jokes. But, his choice of topic wasn’t well received, especially by Jordan.

In particular, Hart decided to target MJ’s dress sense. He pointed out that the six-time NBA Champion was a bit too old to wear his pants so high. Add to that the fact that he made fun of his mustache, and Jordan was left quite peeved. After all, was said and done, Hart approached the Chicago Bulls legend. And, based on their interaction, Kevin explained on Jimmy Kimmel that His Airness might still be “pissed” at him.

Hart: “Mike still might be mad at me! I pissed Mike off. Mike had a charity event in Las Vegas; they called me, and they wanted me to host the event. So, I get there to host the event. ‘I start teasing him. I was like, ‘Man, what age do you get to where it’s OK to wear your pants that high, and nobody addresses it? Y’all telling me I’m the only one that thinks Mike’s past the legal limit for the waist.’ But it was like fun jokes.”

Kevin hasn’t seen Mike since. But, knowing Jordan, as he does with most things, he probably took those jokes very personally. Although he shouldn’t, seeing as Hart has roasted other NBA superstars as well.
