“No way, dad!”: Shareef O’Neal is amazed by Shaquille O’Neal’s AEW pro wrestling debut appearance as the Lakers legend goes all out in the ring
Shareef O’Neal could not believe how well his father Shaquille O’Neal gave an account of himself in his pro wrestling debut.
Shaquille O’Neal’s professional wrestling debut was a smashing success. Literally. Shaq made his first appearance in the AEW on Wednesday night in what turned out to be an eventful debut.
Some of the moves that he executed on the night included a massive powerbomb, a table crash, and a hilarious ambulance blooper at the very end.
Shaq was fully committed to the stunt and he did not flinch at all. He crashed through that table at full force, without any hesitation. We have to congratulate Shaq for going all-in for the table tackle.
Shaq’s son Shareef O’Neal himself was amazed by his father’s adeptness at a completely new sport. He went all over social media to comment about Shaq’s AEW debut, and in a great light too.

As you can see, Shareef appears to act disbelievingly at his father’s performance, and with good reason. Seeing a man weighing well over 350 pounds do this kind of stuff is definitely quite jarring.
Dwyane Wade joins Shareef O’Neal in roasting Shaq’s AEW debut
Shaq’s former teammate Dwyane Wade couldn’t help but make fun of The Big Diesel. Wade posted on Twitter, comparing Shaq’sknockout to watching the 15-time All-Star asleep with an astronaut-style helmet.
This was in reference to Shaq’s latest appearance on the Tuesday edition of Inside the NBA with Wade and Candace Parker. The duo had caught Shaq, or at least staged him, snoring loudly while donning the aforementioned outfit.

We hope that Shaq continues to feature on AEW with similarly hilarious yet watchable appearances. He does seem like he’s built for it.
