Obsessed With Marrying Dennis Rodman, Madonna ‘Desperately’ Reached out to Spurs’ Front Office to Link Up With The Worm:  “Out of the Blue”

Dennis Rodman’s eventful NBA career took him to San Antonio Spurs before he joined the Chicago Bulls. Known for his antics on and off the court, Rodman dated a plethora of famous women, including popstar Madonna. In his book, “Bad as I Wanna Be,” The Worm revealed a lot of details about his relationship with the celebrity. According to the book, Madonna had called the San Antonio Spurs front office looking for Rodman.

As it turned out, despite Rodman being unsure about the relationship, her “out of the blue” call led to a relationship between the two. What’s more, the popstar was also reportedly crazy about Rodman and wanted to build a family with him.

Apart from Madonna, Rodman also had a lengthy relationship and even married supermodel Carmen Electra. As it turns out, The Worm had done nothing to initiate communication with Madonna.

Instead, it was the pop star who called the San Antonio Spurs office randomly in order to get a hold of Rodman. The defensive superstar claimed that he didn’t like anything about the pop star’s public image. However, when the two got to know each other, he realized that she was a “cool individual.”

“Madonna had first called the Spurs’ office out of the blue wanting to get hold of me. This was in 1993. I was, like, “Whatever.” I knew who she was and everything, but I didn’t like her music—too bubblegum—didn’t like her videos, didn’t like anything about her— her media image anyway. And I didn’t know what the hell this white megastar wanted from me.  Turned out the real Madonna was a cool individual. She had her shit together. And she wasn’t just in it for stud services.”

Madonna and Rodman had a short but wild relationship

According to Marie Claire, Madonna was absolutely obsessed with Rodman. The Bulls legend had even claimed that she wanted him to impregnate her.

The relationship lasted merely 2 months back in 1994. However, it was apparently a “wild ride,” according to Dennis Rodman himself.

The two had a sexually-charged relationship with Madonna which ended after the end of the 1994 season. What’s more, Madonna had apparently met Rodman’s Spurs teammates in the locker room after the final game of the season. While things did not work out between the two, the two ended things on a good note and were known to be friends afterward as well.
