Skip Bayless has some interesting thoughts on the Lakers’ new backcourt of LeBron James and Russell Westbrook

Yep, it finally happened. Russell Westbrook has officially joined LeBron James and is now a Laker.
According to Shams Charania, the Lakers will be giving away Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Montrezl Harrell, and the 22nd pick from the 2021 NBA Draft, which has turned into Isiah Jackson.
That’s a massive deal right there. Many are looking forward to Russ being on the same team as the King and Anthony Davis. However, when it comes to these matters, it seems Skip Bayless is just built different.
Yep, of course, the 69-year-old analyst had something to say when this deal was finally confirmed. And let’s just, fans of the Lakers are not going to like what they hear from him.

Skip Bayless holds nothing back while announcing his thoughts on LeBron James and Russell Westbrook being in a backcourt together
Fans of LeBron will know this a bit too well by now, but Bayless just LOVES a good troll session. Of course, he has gone after other players as well, Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo come to mind. However, it doesn’t take a genius to know that the Lakers star is his favorite target.
Maybe it’s for the views. Or maybe working as a Bulls reporter during the days of Michael Jordan has made him defensive when the Bulls’ legend’s legacy is threatened. Whatever the reason may be, recently we got yet another one. Take a look at the tweet below.

Yeah, no.
Everybody exaggerates but this man sure knows how to take it to the next level. But, as much as we hate to say it, the man does have a point.
Shooting was one of the Lakers’ biggest requirements heading into this offseason. Hell, that’s the reason why they were linked with Buddy Hield and Kyle Lowry in the first place. Those players are able floor spacers. And Russell Westbrook is clearly the very opposite of that.
To be fair, the franchise could still bring a shooter in if they really wanted to. However, given their current cap space situation, we doubt they can bring in anyone significant.
This could be really, really bad.
