After going 1-1 in their recent 2-game homestand, the Philadelphia 76ers have had a great road trip so far. After defeating the Utah Jazz, Joel Embiid and co. flew to California to face both the Los Angeles franchises.

Philly’s trip to LA started on a great note as they grabbed a 113-112 win against LeBron James and the Lakers. Starting tonight’s clash with momentum on their side, Doc Rivers’ boys had a sensational overall performance against Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers.

A contest that witnessed 9 lead changes and 9 ties eventually ended with the Pennsylvania-based franchise grabbing a 120-110 victory.

Joel Embiid improves to 8-0 when playing in Los Angeles

It was a huge night for JoJo. The Cameroonian played merely 33:15 minutes and ended up dropping 41 points along with 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks.

After the win on Sunday and tonight, the 7-footer has managed to improve his record to 8-0 when playing in Los Angeles.

Against LAL, Embiid is 4-0 at their home and averages 34.8 points, 11.8 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 blocks and 1 steal in those clashes.

Against LAC, the 5-time All-Star is 4-0 at their home and has put up 32 points, 13.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2 blocks per game.

JoJo casually flexes his record against the Bulls & the Knicks

During the postgame interview, JoJo was made aware of his 8-0 record in the City of Angels.

As a response, the reigning scoring champ was not so subtle in bringing his flawless record against the Bulls & the Knicks to everyone’s notice.

Reporter: “After your win on Sunday and tonight, you are now 8-0 all-time in this building in games you’ve played against the Lakers and Clippers. What is it about this arena?”

Joel: “You can say the same thing about the Bulls or the Knicks. I got a good record against them too.”

 

Joel holds on to an undefeated 6-0 record at the United Center. In that period, he is averaging 26.3 points and 11 rebounds. Whereas, at the MSG, Joel has suffered merely 1 loss over 9 occasions and has been putting up 27.3/10.9/2.4.
