“Shaq Could Have Been a Lot More Mean”: Thanking 'Mama O’Neal', Millionaire Shaquille O’Neal Endorses Kevin Garnett's Funny Mimicry

Shaquille O’Neal exhibited an unstoppable force on the basketball court. He dominated with his towering 7’1″ frame and was renowned for his aggressive style of play. His powerful dunks even resulted in breaking a backboard on one occasion. Despite his imposing size, Shaq remained composed and never let his aggressive side consume him on the court. Known for his calm demeanor, he let his performance on the court speak for itself. He tried to answer any challenges with his exceptional play. Kevin Garnett extended his appreciation to Shaq’s parents for instilling strong values and upbringing as they played together for the Boston Celtics. During a podcast, Kevin Garnett expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Lucille, Shaq’s mother, for raising a person with exceptional manners, a defining aspect of Diesel’s personality that continues to resonate to this day.

Shaquille O’Neal is known for being a ‘gentle giant’ because of his kind and caring nature. There haven’t been many instances where he lost his cool on the court. Although he did have off-court drama and feud with his own teammates (Kobe Bryant), his on-court persona never reflected him being a bully of any sort. However, Shaq’s calm demeanor and lack of temper may have prevented him from fully harnessing his successes and unleashing his unstoppable play to reach even greater heights.

Kevin Garnett is thankful to Lucille O’Neal for raising a gentleman as Shaquille O’Neal

Shaquille O’Neal was raised by his mother Lucille O’Neal and stepfather Phillip Harrison who was a sergeant in the US Army. Being within the military-industrial complex, Shaq was raised in the same discipline and rigor that you would expect out of a US Army personnel.

He recently reposted a video from @amazehoops on Instagram, where Kevin Garnett appeared to be talking about Shaq’s nature and temperament. In the video, KG said:

“Shaq could have been a lot more mean than he was. We thank god Shaq was raised right. Y’all haven’t played against a pissed-off Shaq. Shaq getting pissed… whaaat like? Thank you, Thank you, Mama O’Neal.”

Additionally, Kevin Garnett amusingly imitates Shaq. During the clip, Garnett shares his astonishment when he first encountered Shaq and how he was taken aback by Shaq’s towering height, despite Garnett himself standing at 7 feet tall. This hilarious mimicry has certainly captured Shaq’s attention, as Diesel shared the video on his Instagram story.

KG absolutely nails it while imitating Shaq in the most hilarious manner

Shaq’s unique and captivating personality has endeared him to everyone, and Kevin Garnett’s clever imitation of O’Neal further exemplifies why. In the aforementioned video, KG humorously mimics Shaq’s distinctive speaking style.

“Shaq was like ‘What’s up big fella? (mumbling)’  He was talking fast, like country fast. You know, like ‘What’s up big fella? You good, your mama good, everybody good? (mumbling)’ We always give each other a quick hand a little, ‘You good, good?’ But Diesel, he’s just Diesel, good people man!”

Kevin Garnett’s remarkable mimicry skills shine through as he flawlessly captures Shaq’s baritone voice and accent. He even replicates his distinctive body language, as seen in the handshake gesture with the podcast hosts. Shaq’s recent repost of the video suggests his approval and admiration for KG’s talent.
