“Shaq, you’re a casual”: James Harden’s former teammate Christian Wood hilariously roasts Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal following a Rockets win
Christian Wood calls Shaquille O’Neal a casual after Shaq says he wasn’t all too familiar with Wood’s game prior to this win.
The Houston Rockets felt as though they could convince James Harden to reconsider his trade request as the season played along. They surrounded him with talent such as John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, and promising young big man, Christian Wood.
However, this wasn’t enough for Harden as he said the Rockets weren’t good enough after a blowout loss to the Lakers. A few hours later and Harden was traded away from Houston.
A silver lining in all of this is the emergence of Christian Wood. The Rockets signed Wood to a 3 year/$41 million dollar contract that ties him up until 2023.
This was a steal for Houston – the former Pistons big is averaging 23 points and nearly 10 rebounds per game. He is also shooting an efficient 54% from the field. Despite all this, Shaq had a confession to make to Christian Wood following the Rockets’ win against the Spurs.
Shaq says he doesn’t know all too much about Christian Wood
The shorthanded Rockets were able to pull out the crunch time victory over the Spurs on the back of Christian Wood’s 27 and 15. Post-game, Wood earned himself an interview with the ‘Inside the NBA’ crew. In this interview, Shaq said, “I wasn’t too familiar with your game,” to which Wood hilariously responded, “Aw man, you’re a casual.”

Shaq didn’t seem too fazed by this comment made by Wood. He carried on by complimenting the Houston Big-man on his game. It is quite strange that Shaq hasn’t been up to date with Christian Wood. He is perhaps the frontrunner for ‘Most Improved Player of the Year’.
