“Shaquille O’Neal has a skin thinner than Flat Stanley”: Throwback to when Charles Barkley called out former Lakers’ superstar on the Conan O’Brien podcast

NBA legend Charles Barkley mocks his co-host, Shaquille O’Neal, on the Conan O’Brien podcast, says Shaq is very thin-skinned

NBA legends and co-hosts of Inside the NBA, Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal are always going after each other. The two have had more fights and quarrels in the studio than they’ve had in their entire career on the court.

The duo keeps finding ways to make fun of each other. More often than not, the end product is always is hilarious for us viewers. All the way back in 2017, Charles Barkley claimed that he likes to mess with Shaq a lot. He said he does so because Shaq has skin as thin as Flat Stanley. In case you aren’t familiar with Flat Stanley, it is a children’s book character written by Jeff Brown.

Charles Barkley mocks Shaq on the Conan O’Brien podcast

Chuck and Shaq are really good friends, who like getting under each other’s skins. They keep taking digs at each other, just to test their limits and have some fun along the way.

Back in 2020, Charles Barkley was a guest on the Conan O’Brien show, where he talked about Shaq and their friendship. There Chuck explained why he likes to mess around with Shaq so much. Chuck just replied by saying ‘Shaq has a thinner skin than Flat Stanley’, and hence it is fun.

However, the Conan O’Brien show wasn’t the only time Chuck has brought this up. He used the same for a comparison of Shaq and Kevin Durant, all the way back in 2018. He later also brought it up when Shaq decided to respond to something Damian Lillard said, back in 2019.
