The 2020-21 NBA season is almost halfway through. With the All-Star break approaching, there is a lot to be reflected upon about this half. The Los Angeles Lakers, are stuck in a rut, after having a hot start to the season. The Utah Jazz are ablaze, with a league-best 26-6 record.
The season is still young, and there can be a lot of changes before we make our way to the playoffs. The Wizards, after starting with a league-worst record, are now on the 12th spot in the East and have won 6 of their last 7 games.
The Celtics, after having a hot start, are now under the .500 mark. The Mavericks are also under the .500 mark this season. The Brooklyn Nets sit on an 8 game win streak, most of which was without Kevin Durant playing.
“You’re going to see a new approach”: Shaquille O’Neal
Shaquille O’Neal has had a blazing start to the season. He has given a lot of hot takes, and most of them were not well received by the players. Shaq took a dig at Rudy Gobert for his contract, and then Donovan Mitchell for not being a championship-caliber PG, and now they sit atop the Western Conference.
Most of Shaq’s takes have plainly been offensive statements, and that is something the players are not very happy about. On last night’s episode of Inside the NBA, Shaq says he is going to change that now. He says he would take a new approach:
“My mother pulled me aside last night and said ‘baby take it easy on the young guys,’ so you’re going to see a new approach from me talking about these bums.”
“You’re going to see a new approach with me talking about these bums.”@SHAQ said he’s going to start being nicer 😭

It would be nice to see a different side of Shaq soon. His constant ‘hot takes’ were causing quite some damage to the Hall-of-Famer’s reputation.
