‘Shut up and take my money’: Spurs announce insane ‘Fiesta’ City edition jerseys and fans have gone crazy
The San Antonio Spurs have announced what their new City Edition jerseys will look like and fans are going gaga over the look.
The San Antonio Spurs have been an immensely successful franchise over the past 3 decades. They have claimed 5 championships in 22 years, all with future Hall of Famer, Tim Duncan.
Despite their success, the Spurs have built up a reputation around the league for being a ‘boring’ franchise. This is due to the fact that a lot of the superstars who have played for the Spurs, have not really been very expressive when on the court.
Stars such as Kawhi Leonard and Tim Duncan are seen as players with ‘average Joe’ mentalities. However, it seems the Spurs will try to stray away from this label, by introducing new, vibrant jerseys.

The fiesta theme pays homage to the fiesta culture that is deep-rooted within communities in San Antonio.
The overall design of the jerseys was based off the warmup wear the Spurs used to wear back in the David Robinson days in the 90s.
The jerseys will be available from December 3. Fans should check out the Spursfanshop.com for the same.
What has the response to these jerseys been?
The response has been mostly positive to these new ‘Fiesta’ jerseys, especially from San Antonio fans. Many Spurs took to Reddit to bash their previous camouflage jerseys, and rave about how these are so much better.
Even people who aren’t Spurs fans have praised these jerseys. Safe to say these jerseys won’t be getting the Brooklyn Nets treatment, and will be up there with the Orlando Magic city jerseys.
