The Denver Nuggets hosted the top-seeded Memphis Grizzlies tonight and kept them at bay all night. Nikola Jokic, just like always, played brilliantly. Playing without Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr, the Nuggets have managed to put a leash on the Grizzlies. Shaquille O’Neal and Inside the NBA crew are covering the game being broadcasted on TNT.

They started things off by talking about the Joker’s outfit to the game.

During the half-time show, Shaq talked about Jokic, and well, he made yet another comment.
Shaquille O’Neal gets Nikola Jokic’s nationality wrong
Shaquille O’Neal is one of the funniest personalities on TV. The 7ft 1″ big man dominated the NBA, and now he’s dominating basketball TV. Shaq keeps it real always, and the fans love that about him. However, there are times when he messes up too.
Tonight, he was talking about how Nikola Jokic can’t score easily on him, whereas he would’ve had ‘Slavic Lasagna’ on offense.

Ernie corrected him and reminded him Jokic is Serbian, not Slavic. That didn’t seem to concern Shaq, who knocked it off and said, “Same thing. Serbian, Slavic.”
This isn’t the first time he’s messed up Jokic’s nationality. He once spoke to Jokic in Russian, thinking the 2x MVP was from Russia. At this point, I’m not even sure whether Shaq genuinely doesn’t know or if he’s doing it just to be funny.
NBA Twitter reacts to Shaq’s shenanigans
NBA Twitter is no stranger to Shaq and his various comments. They saw what he said on Inside the NBA, and couldn’t hold themselves back from reacting.
