The Round 1 matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings has been quite intense. The two teams have butted heads all series long, and now it comes down to Game 7. Stephen Curry and Co. will be looking to progress, and a feisty team led by De’Aaron Fox is hoping to do the same. But, there is a big roadblock in the way for both teams, and his name is Scott Foster.

That’s right Game 7 of the Warriors-Kings series will be refereed by Scott Foster. The man who has a less than favorable reputation among both players and fans alike. And, both Warriors and Kings fans are no exception.
After all, Foster is responsible for missing some crucial calls in Curry’s favor. And to top things off, he is good friends with Tim Donaghy. All of this spells a recipe for disaster. But, one that will surely take the Warriors’ and Kings’ minds off of their ongoing rivalry.
What exactly did Scott Foster do to Stephen Curry and the Kings to garner such hatred?
Game 7 between the Warriors and the Kings is sure to be an interesting one. Not just because of the budding rivalry between the two franchises. But, also because of who will be in charge.
The bane of several NBA superstars, referee Scott Foster will be the Crew Chief for this game. The 56-year-old is undoubtedly one of the most controversial officials the NBA has ever seen. And, the best part is, both the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings have ample reason to be displeased by him.
To start off with the Warriors, the 2016 NBA Finals are what rustles up sour feelings toward Foster. The official missed a number of calls for Stephen Curry. Some might even say he cost the Dubs the Finals. On the other hand, the Kings find an aversion to Foster thanks to his friendship with Tim Donaghy. Another controversial former referee who famously “screwed” them in the 2002 Western Conference Finals against the Lakers.

Safe to say things will get heated with Foster in charge. But, it’s not something he will let bother him. Especially considering that Steph and the Kings aren’t the ones who’ve seen the worst side of him.
Chris Paul is the one who has the most issues with Scott Foster
The Warriors, the Kings, and even Stephen Curry all have reasons to hate Scott Foster. But, perhaps the player with the best reason is Chris Paul. CP3 has one of the worst records in games Foster has officiated. To be exact, prior to the Suns’ Game 2 win over the Clippers, the “Point God” had a 14-0 losing streak in Playoff games with him in charge.

At the end of the day, it looks like Scott Foster doesn’t really have many fans in the NBA. And if his officiating continues the way it is, it could only go from bad to worse.
