The Golden State Warriors are one of the premier franchises in the NBA. In their 77-year history, the Dubs have had many a legend come through their ranks, like Wilt Chamberlain, Nate Thurmond, Rick Barry, and Chris Mullin. But, without a doubt, their greatest asset has been Stephen Curry.

Steph is a phenomenon unlike any other. Widely considered the greatest shooter of all time, he has led the team to four NBA Championships. An amazing feat, one made even more amazing when you account for the two MVPs he won along the way.
In fact, his contributions to the organization have been so crucial, that it wouldn’t be far-fetched to say he is solely responsible for the Warriors’ recent success. Well, the team’s head coach, Steve Kerr completely agrees.
Steve Kerr claims Stephen Curry is the reason he and the Warriors have been so successful
Since 2014, the Golden State Warriors have been coached by Steve Kerr. The former Bulls star, who won five championships as a player has found much success with the Dubs. After all, four NBA Championships in nine years speaks volumes.
However, what is the primary reason for this success? Is it Kerr’s coaching? The work of the front office? Or the revolutionary style of basketball the team has played as a whole?
According to coach Kerr, the onus for their success lies on Stephen Curry. While speaking with Warriors GM Bob Myers, Kerr was asked, “How come we’ve been able to maintain for 9 years?”. And, he had only one answer, Wardell Stephen Curry II.
Bob Myers: “How come we’ve been able to maintain [success] for 9 years?”
Steve Kerr: “Because of Steph Curry… I think Steph has kept this thing afloat because of the power of his own humanity and who he is on top of how great of a player he is.”pic.twitter.com/NJWwwRHZqO

A very truthful and very understandable answer from Steve Kerr. After all, Chef Curry has been cooking for a long time and the Warriors will be hoping he will continue to cook for them even longer.
Steph Curry and the Warriors will be pushing for a fifth title this season
Despite being completely written off last season, the Warriors turned up and with the help of Steph Curry, secured the 2022 NBA Championship. Well, this season is a bit more interesting. The likes of Draymond Green and Klay Thompson could be moved on. So, don’t be shocked if the Dubs look for one last hoorah with the old guard.
The Playoffs are just a few weeks away and all eyes will be on the Warriors. Will Steph and co. deliver? Safe to say that Dub Nation will be hoping they can.
