“That Was Some Good Sh*t Kyrie Irving Put On”: Kevin Durant Tweets Hilarious Appreciation Post After 48-Point Explosion vs Jazz

Kevin Durant is very likely the best player on what is a loaded Brooklyn Nets roster. However, as they have for the past few years, injuries have reared their ugly heads again. And because of it, the man has unfortunately been forced into some time off the court.

In that timeframe, the Brooklyn Nets have played 5 games. The first of these resulted in a loss against the Celtics. Then came disheartening bows to the Thunder, and the Spurs, before yet another loss against a very much weakened Suns side.

The Slim Reaper has always been an important player, but a slide of this degree shouldn’t have happened. And so, Kyrie Irving finally decided that enough was enough.

As the franchise faced the Utah Jazz, the former Celtic was ready. And perhaps just as he’d planned, he went absolutely berserk.

After 39 minutes played, Irving recorded 48 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals. The man also shot a scorching 18 of 29 (62.1%) from the field and 8 of 15 (53.3%) from beyond the arc.

As you’d expect, fans of the franchise can’t stop celebrating this display from the guard.

And as he revealed on Twitter, apparently neither can Kevin Durant.

Kevin Durant formally congratulates Kyrie Irving for stepping up and taking over against the Jazz

We can’t imagine Kevin Durant was the happiest man alive during the Nets’ 4 losses. No, the frustration and feeling of helplessness were likely magnanimous at the time.

But, as all hope seemed lost, Kyrie Irving stepped up to be his hero. And in rather hilarious appreciation of him, here is what the man recently tweeted out.

Given the shots made by Kyrie Irving during this game, we can’t imagine many fans can do much else themselves.

When will Kevin Durant return to the floor for the Brooklyn Nets?

Kevin Durant has been forced to the sideline due to an MCL sprain in his right knee.

The good news is that the injury hasn’t been as serious as initially feared. However, as per ESPN, the player is expected to remain sidelined for about a month longer.

How ever Kyrie Irving willed the Nets to win against the Jazz, it appears he will have to do it for a while longer.
