"Those Hotel Soaps Aren't Big Enough": Charles Barkley Hilariously Explains Why He Travels With His Own Soap Bars

Charles Barkley has always been an extremely quotable person. The TNT analyst has one-upped himself with a revelation on his own podcast.

There isn’t enough we can say to properly appreciate how Chuck has changed sportscasting. Barkley took to the TV stage like a duck to water, as evidenced by his first few minutes on TNT.

Over the years, Barkley has been perhaps the most consistent comedian on American television. His unabashed style of analysis – even when he hasn’t watched the teams play – makes for naturally comedic situations.

Despite his sub-par analysis, Barkley can hold the TNT studio stage like no one else. Watching the current ‘OG’ cast – comprising of himself, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson – has been an unmatched experience.

His ‘guarantees’ over the years, which have proved to be wrong more often than not, are also back on the menu. Sir Charles believes that the Sacramento Kings will beat either the Warriors or the Lakers in the first round.

Time for Kings fans to panic?

Charles Barkley makes a hilarious revelation on ‘The Steam Room’

Barkley and TNT host Ernie Johnson recorded their latest edition of ‘The Steam Room’ podcast yesterday, after a hiatus for March Madness. Ernie revealed a small snippet to the world, in which Chuck expresses his disdain for hotel soaps:

“I travel with a big bar of soap…because these hotels started being cheap. Those bars ain’t big enough! I almost had a couple of accidents with these hotels.”

“I was washing a part of my body…I almost had an incident with those little bars of soap. I almost lost it, and I was like ‘Whoa, this is way too close for comfort’! So now I travel with my own big bars of soap.”

Barkley’s big reveal was the subject of jokes by the crew for the rest of the evening, as you might expect.

Chuck once said he didn’t want to leave his wealth for his family

This kind of behavior is really par for the course if you’ve followed Barkley over the years. The 16-year NBA veteran, who’s also made millions over his 23 seasons on TV, once joked that he wanted to go broke while gambling.

“Listen, everybody knows I like to gamble. I wanna be dead broke when I keel over, Phil. I don’t want to leave all that money for my free-loading family. I’ve been taking care of them my whole life. I wanna be dead broke at my last breath.”

Barkley has reportedly lost tens of millions to his gambling addiction. He also lost several hundred thousand betting on the Eagles to win the Super Bowl this year.
