"Tom Brady gives me inspiration to keep going at my age": LeBron James offers heartfelt retirement advice to his favorite QB and dear friend

LeBron James was asked about Tom Brady following the Buccaneers’ playoff loss to the Cowboys, and he had some sound advice for the 45-year-old legend.

Brady and the Buccaneers have largely had a season to forget this year. They struggled to find an offensive identity all year long, and in the end, they finished with an 8-9 record, barely making the playoffs by virtue of winning a weak NFC South division.

Tampa bay faced off against the Dallas Cowboys, and the trend that followed them during the regular season showed itself once more during this game.

They got off to a slow and sluggish start, going down 24-0 to start the game. Brady and the Bucs were forced to play catchup the entire game, and it simply didn’t work.

LeBron James offers advice for Tom Brady following loss

Brady’s 23rd season ended in a disappointing way as the Bucs QB was highly unsuccessful in the game against the Cowboys. However, when LeBron was asked about Brady’s retirement plans, he simply had praise for the greatest to ever do it.

LeBron and Brady are both dominating their respective leagues despite being well past their prime playing ages. LeBron is 38 and Brady is 45. The King knows how hard it is to keep going at this age, and so he called Brady an inspiration as he motivates the Lakers star to play harder and stronger.

LeBron also referred to Brady as his favorite QB and a dear friend. Clearly, the two greats share a special connection, and LeBron knows that he has to support a fellow GOAT at this stage of his career. At the end of the day, LeBron’s message was simple. “Follow your heart.”

LeBron continues his dominance at 38

While LeBron was showing love for Brady at playing at such a high level this late in his career, the King himself was doing wonders in the NBA.

The Lakers matched up against the Houston Rockets, and LeBron pulled out all the stops to beat the Rockets. He finished with a monster 48 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds to lead the Lakers to a 140-132 victory.
