WATCH: $160 Million Worth Stephen Curry Called Billionaire Michael Jordan a HATER

In the NBA, there are quite a few scales to rate players. One of the first things that earn a player a nod of approval is an All-Star selection. From there, it’s an All-NBA team, and so on and so forth. One of the biggest honors for a basketball player is to be inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. The case is no different for Stephen Curry.

The Warriors superstar has an impressive resume and looks like a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer. In his thirteen-year career so far, Steph has won 4x NBA Championships, is a 2x NBA MVP, the only unanimous MVP in NBA History, a Finals MVP, and so much more. He’s earned a pretty sum and built a net worth of around $160 Million.

However, not everyone believed Steph was eligible for the Hall-of-Fame. One of the biggest names who claimed that Steph wasn’t ready for the same was Michael Jordan in 2019.

Stephen Curry called Michael Jordan a hater

In 2019, once Michael Jordan’s NBC interview aired, Stephen Curry, as expected, took note of it. He was hurt by the statement, and rightfully so. Even back then, Steph was a 2x MVP, 3x NBA Champion, 6x All-Star, 6x All-NBA member, and a 1x Scoring Champion. Those accolades alone are enough to get a player into the Hall-of-Fame, but MJ disagreed.

When Steph was playing Full Size Run with Sole Collector, he was asked if he signs shoes and sends them to his haters. Curry laughed and replied,

“Not yet, I might have to set up a service though. I have to send them to MJ(Michael Jordan).”

Later during the episode, Steph talked about how the OGs of the game talking about these lists and making such comments isn’t fair. He talked about how this motivated him to go even harder and that he had a point to prove.

Has Michael Jordan changed his view on Steph’s Hall-of-Fame eligibility since?

Since that conversation, Michael Jordan has changed how he felt about Stephen Curry. In 2021, Stephen Curry sat down with Michael Jordan during the Ryder Cup. The video Steph uploaded on his YouTube doesn’t contain the conversation.

However, Curry talked to the Athletic and shared the chat with Billionaire Michael Jordan about the Hall-of-Fame.

Marcus Thompson: “So, did you ask him if you are a Hall of Famer now?”

Stephen Curry: “The first question, I just blurted it out, and he said, ‘First-ballot Hall of Fame, no problem.’ That’s verbatim what he said.”
