“We Were Destined To Win 'Cuz Of Dillon Brooks' Overalls”: Ja Morant’s Hilarious Reaction to Grizzlies 6ft 7’ Guard’s Pregame Fit

After going on a 7-game win streak, the Memphis Grizzlies caught back-to-back losses. Entering their last road game before Christmas Day, Ja Morant and co. were in desperate need of a victory.

Facing Devin Booker’s Phoenix Suns at the Footprint Center, Taylor Jenkins’ boys had a pretty dominant all-around performance. A one-sided affair that witnessed no tie or lead changes, ended with the Tennessee-based franchise winning the battle 125-100.

It was a huge night for Jaren Jackson Jr. and Brandon Clarke, who recorded 24 points each. Desmond Bane and Morant further combined for 29 points. However, it was Dillon Brooks who was the talk of the town yesterday night.

NBA Twitter reacts to Brook’s pregame fit

Brooks had a solid 16-point performance on an impressive 77.8% shooting from the field. However, the 6-foot-7 swingman was all over social media for the outfit he wore pregame – overalls with no shirt underneath.

As soon as photos and videos of the former Oregon Duck’s outfit floated on social media, NBA Twitter erupted with various reactions.

“We weren’t gonna lose with Dillon Brooks coming in with that on”: Ja Morant

Not only was the internet left in shambles, but even Dillon’s own teammates got a good laugh looking at him.

Ja, who was asked to comment on the 26-year-old’s overalls, had a pretty hilarious reaction. Crediting Brook’s interesting choice of outfit for the 25-point blowout win, the All-Star said:

“Ain’t no way I thought we were gonna lose with (Brooks) coming in with that on. Nooo way. It was destined for us to win this one. Man came no shirt underneath with the bucket hat. That’s DB though, man.”
