"What About the Nike": Ja Morant's Viral Gun Flashing IG Live Convinces Shannon Sharpe a 'Go Fund Me' Campaign Awaits Grizzlies Star

Ja Morant, after a 2-month long break, flashed a firearm again on IG Live. During this time, he wasn’t inside a strip club or even live from his own account, but the video still found its way to Twitter and went viral faster than Joel Embiid’s choking against the Celtics last night. Naturally, with weekday shows starting today, most analysts are addressing the video in circulation. FS1’s Undisputed also had a segment on Morant and both Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe minced no words in criticizing the 23-year-old. In fact, Sharpe went as far as to predict the end of Ja’s career because of what is turning out to be a compulsion.

In a recent viral video, the Grizzlies star was seen holding a firearm in his left hand while his buddy went Live on IG. The implications of the video highlighted a clear disregard from Ja towards authority and his past actions.

While he had made bold claims of seeking therapy and acknowledging his own errors, the latest episode says otherwise. It shows, like it did when he flashed the gun in a ‘strip club,’ that Morant feels he can get away by challenging the league and what it stands for. However, fortunately, analysts like Shannon Sharpe have taken it upon themselves to call out Morant and his antics.

Shannon Sharpe believes Ja Morant might need a ‘Go Fund Me’

In the latest segment of Undisputed: Skip and Shannon, Sharpe had a lot to say about Morant and his entourage. The FS1 analyst started by claiming that even after Morant’s seemingly sincere apologies in March, he had patiently waited to see a change in his actions.

However, the latest episode has cleared up how the 23-year-old has not changed in the slightest and is still showcasing the same flaws he had bared in front of the world a little over 2 months ago.

Shannon then lashed out at the youngster for not considering the repercussions of his actions. He stated this might eventually lead to a need for a ‘Go Fund Me’ campaign for the player who is expected to earn $33 million in NBA salary alone this season.

Shannon Sharpe: “Ja can’t do any further embarrassment to himself. What about to the Memphis Grizzlies? What about to the NBA? What about the Nike? What about the Powerade? I wanna know who is gonna be the treasurer on that ‘go fund me,’ because he is about to lose that NBA contract.”

Is Shannon Sharpe accurate in his prediction about Morant’s career?

While the league and its actions are awfully tough to unravel and predict, there are certainly certain paradigms that evoke the same reaction from the entire community.

Morant’s latest video has managed to do the same. Every analyst, at the moment, has openly claimed that Morant’s career might soon be over. Shannon is not the only one to predict that he may lose most of his endorsements and NBA contract. However, at the moment, it seems unlikely. There is a high possibility he would face a long suspension but that’s the worst-case scenario as things stand.
