LeBron James arrived at the arena dressed in an eye-catching ‘BBZ’ sweatshirt and crocs. The 3-time champion’s costume has a deeper story behind it.

James’ fashion choices have gotten more and more unconventional over the years. As he’s settled into the public conscious as the predominant force in the league, his dressing sense has become pretty offbeat. In his last playoff appearance (for the Cavs), James arrived at the Eastern Conference Finals dressed in suit shorts and was trolled for it.
The secret behind LeBron James’ ‘BBZ’ outfit for Game 2
The Los Angeles Lakers’ Twitter account shared pictures of James arriving at the AdventHealth Arena dressed in a pair of shorts and a sweatshirt. The design on the sweatshirt contains 3 Disney-themed characters. His crocs were eyebrow-raising as well, in bright, multicolour shades.

The caption ‘BBZ’ has a story behind its origins. BBZ stands for Bronny, Bryce, Zhuri – the names of LeBron’s 3 kids. This isn’t the first time that James is wearing apparel themed around his kids, either.
In the 2016 NBA Finals, with the Cavs down 3-1 in the series, James wore LeBron Soldier 10s for Game 5 on the way to dropping 41 points. He wrote BBZ on his kicks before the game, and this was part of how James came up with such an inspirational performance in a pivotal Finals game.
Since then, every new edition of the LeBron sneaker line has had at least one sneaker featuring the BBZ message. James’s eldest son Bronny James is now a sophomore high school player for the Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles. Bronny has been tipped by many to follow his father’s footsteps and play in the NBA. James even remarked once that his dream was to play with his son in the league.
