This season, the Los Angeles Lakers have had the most unexpected and surprising season, possibly of all the teams. Entering the 2020-2021 campaign, the defending champions looked very strong and were the favorites to win their second consecutive title. However, with injuries riddling the team, LAL just managed to fight their way into the postseason. With a subpar 42-30 record, the Lakers managed to clinch the 7th seed of the playoffs.
Unfortunately for them, they have to face a confident and young Phoenix Suns team led by a future Hall-Of-Famer Chris Paul. As expected, the series has proven to be an action-packed thriller. On Sunday night, LeBron James and his Lakers team hosted a CP3-led Suns team at the Staples Center. Grabbing a come-from-the-behind 100-92 win, the Suns managed to grab an away win and tie the series 2-2.
“Worst f**king feeling is wasted time”: Montrezl Harrell after playing only 5 minutes
Christ Paul’s 18 points and 9 assists performance eclipsed LBJ’s 25-point and 12-rebounds double-double outing. With Anthony Davis exiting mid-game due to an injury, the Lakers found it even more difficult to score points.
Despite the lack of offensive production, Montrezl Harrell was found glued to the bench. Playing for only 4 minutes and 41 seconds, the former Sixth Man of the Year finished the game with no points on the board. Rightfully, Harrell was upset about it and vented out his frustrations on Twitter. Post the game, he sent out an NSFW tweet:
Worst fucking feeling is wasted time!

From averaging 23 minutes per game in the regular season to playing only 5 minutes in a pivotal playoff game, it is absolutely shocking to witness Montrezl restricted to the bench. Flying back to Phoenix, both teams will continue to fight hard to take a 3-2 series lead. Perhaps the absence of AD might prompt the Lakers to give Harrell some more time.
