"You the Reason Ja Morant Probably Carry Guns": Kwame Brown Blasts Shannon Sharpe for his Comments on Undisputed, Brings up Altercation with Grizzlies

The most unexpected beef has suddenly cropped up in the NBA world between former No.1 overall pick Kwame Brown and FS1 analyst Shannon Sharpe. In a series of back-and-forth comments, Kwame has recently posted another video and brought Ja Morant into the foray. Referring to the altercation between Shannon and the Memphis Grizzlies, Kwame now accuses it of being the reason Morant carried a gun.

The squabble between the two started after Kawme dissed LeBron for not making the last shot in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. This prompted a harsh reaction from Sharpe on his show with Skip Bayless. And in response to those comments, Kwame again posted a video on social media throwing shade at the former NFL star, calling out his altercation with the Grizzlies.

Shannin famously got into a little bit of a kerfuffle with multiple Grizzlies players during Memphis vs LA in January. At the time, he was sitting courtside and seemed to get increasingly tired of the team’s insolence. And in the end, he ended up shouting at quite a few of them for their attitude. This resulted in a full-blown drama while referees tried to prevent things from escalating.

Kwame Brown addresses Shannon Sharpe’s criticism

As mentioned before, Brown had a lot to say about LeBron James failing to get a shot off despite his ‘supposed caliber’. And of course, Shannon Sharpe had a lot to say about it too. You can check both of their comments out in the YouTube clip by ‘Undisputed‘ below.

Kwame Brown was unhappy with Shannon Sharpe’s comments in the show ‘Skip and Shannon: Undisputed‘ on FS1. He clapped back by throwing shade at Sharpe and called him a guest in the basketball world, among other things. Brown brought up the Grizzlies’ altercation and argued it to be the reason Morant has been seen carrying guns. Here is what he said:

“You call me emotional and you were going to fight the whole Grizzlies team because of your love affair for LeBron. You are the reason probably why Ja Morant is carrying guns right now. Ja Morant is like – Oh s*it! A big a** n***er in grandma sweater trying to fight his daddy and his whole team.”

Shannon had destroyed Kwame on his show for calling out LeBron and comparing him to Kobe Bryant. He took offense that Kwame, being a bust, is questioning the greatness of the Lakers superstar. Shannon stated that Kwame’s comments were a cry for attention and a scheme to go viral on the internet.

What is happening with Ja Morant?

Ja Morant has been having a rough couple of months off the court. With an incident of flashing a gun in a nightclub in March that got him suspended, he followed it up with another Instagram live video holding a firearm. This resulted in a barrage of negative comments and reactions on the internet. Morant went on to post a series of farewell stories on social media that got everyone worried and scared. Take a look at the tweet by NBA Central below to see the screenshots.

The stories that were eventually deleted were alarming and gave the world a glimpse of his mental health. Thankfully, it was just a way of him announcing a hiatus from social media. With everything going on, things may not be going down a landslide for the young superstar. As a ray of hope, after removing his signature shoes from their website, Nike has recently announced a new colorway for the JAs.
