“You Wanna Be a Real Baller?”: Giannis Antetokounmpo Hustles ‘Cheap $1000′ Sneakers, Uses Bucks’ Media Day to Boost Sales
“Gotta sell some shoes”...Giannis Antetokounmpo is ready to take up a sales job before the 2023-24 season begins. The Greek superstar seemed to be brimming with excitement on the Milwaukee Bucks’ Media Day for obvious reasons. It’s only been days since the Bucks announced that they will be adding Damian Lillard to their roster, which has hurled the Mid-West side to the top of the food chain in the league. However, the Greek Freak seemed more interested in selling his shoes rather than talking about their chances of winning it all in his 11th season in the league.

Giannis Antetokounmpo always has jokes up his sleeve to entertain everyone when he’s not dribbling the basketball. The Bucks’ Media Day proceedings are always a treat to watch for fans with Antetokounmpo always entertaining everybody with his dad jokes and hilarious shenanigans. The Greek superstar was back with his weird antics this year as well, desperately trying to sell his ‘cheap $1000’ shoes.
Giannis Antetokounmpo is trying his best to sell some shoes
Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Nike Zoom Freak 5 basketball shoes are out now. And the owner of the line is doing a great job in letting people know about that. Now that all eyes are on the Bucks organization following the Dame trade, Giannis is capitalizing on the opportunity to implore fans to buy some shoes at the hefty price of $1000.
“Zoom Freak 5s. Go get you some. You wanna be a real baller? Go get you some. They’re cheap too. They’re only a $1000. Aye man, you gotta do what you gotta do, you gotta sell shoes now,” the 28-year-old rambled on, sitting against the white backdrop of a studio set.

The Greek Freak is a master at trolling. His $1000 comments are particularly funny because his shoe line is well-known for being affordable. It’s very likely that fans would be willing to try out his kicks after his brilliant performance as a salesman on Bucks’ Media Day.
This is nothing new for Giannis
Giannis has been a jokester around the league for some time now. He pulled a similar move at last year’s Media Day as well. The two-time NBA MVP went up to everyone in the building promoting his shoes.

The 2021 NBA Champion is even more determined this year to spike the sales. However, the best way he can promote his kicks is by winning the 2024 Championship.
