Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley just love pulling each other’s legs, even if they’re live on National Television. We’d even say that it’s especially then that they love doing it most. When Charles Barkley brought up how he was talking to NHL Finalist Matthew Tkachuk before Inside the NBA, Shaq just had to comment on it. And in return, the Chuckster hilariously brought up some of his co-panelists ‘ugly’ philanderings before the show.

O’Neal is hardly somebody who isn’t used to dating rumors about him. After all, even now, the man has been rumored to be dating Nischelle Turner simply because fans see the insane chemistry between them. However, we doubt he wants to be in more rampant stories on this subject. So, he probably didn’t appreciate Barkley throwing him under the bus. However, all it resulted in was a moment that was beyond humorous.
Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley get into a hilarious debate about exposing each other on the air
Charles Barkley wasn’t in the mood to have mercy today. After all, there was no reason for him to be as savage as he was on the air to Shaquille O’Neal. Take a look at the YouTube video by House of Highlights to see what happened as a result of it.
Chuck: “I was hanging out with the great Matthew Tkachuk. He was pretty cool!”
Shaq: “Stop name-dropping!”
Chuck: “I’m not name-dropping fool! That’s who I was talking to. Weren’t you talking to that ugly girl earlier? You don’t want to tell us her game, do you?”
On any other day, Shaquille O’Neal would have likely fired back with an annoyed remark of his own. Instead, we heard a “That’s where you want to go?” from the big guy. It’s a blessing that Chuck’s happily married, else Shaq would’ve called the dogs on him, just to sniff out some dirt to use on-air. Although, when Matthew joined the cast, Chuck did ‘joke’ about slapping Shaq across the face.
Perhaps O’Neal was in a better mood because he truly was having a special little conversation with a special little someone. Who knows?
Shaq calling out Chuck for his name-dropping was ironic
This whole kerfuffle began when O’Neal called Chuck out for name-dropping. And yes, while Barkley was clearly doing just that. That said, we’d argue that the 7’1” man is the one that loves doing that a lot more than anybody else on this planet. If you don’t believe us, take a look at the YouTube clip by Money Mates below.
Really, we can’t believe Shaquille O’Neal didn’t check himself before checking someone else.
