Neymar responds to Real Madrid rumours

Neymar has responded to the potential transfer to Real Madrid.

Neymar who is currently plying his trade with Paris Saint-Germain has been linked with a potential move to Real Madrid and Barcelona. The Brazilian decided to swap Barcelona and the reigning French Champions during the summer of 2017 for a world record fee of 223 million euros.

The Brazilian is lighting up the French League and Europe by constantly contributing to the final third of the game which is the foremost. He has scored 20 goals and has assisted 10 times from 30 appearances this term. He has also been combining well with Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe at Parc Des Princes.

When Neymar moved to Barcelona in 2013, he rejected Real Madrid to make a move to Nou Camp. There were also plenty of reports quoting that Florentino Perez is still regretting that decision to not land him before the Blaugrana got in touch with the Brazilian outfit Santos.

However, in recent months, he has been linked with a comeback to Spain, with Real Madrid being named as the suitors. When he spoke to the French publication Canal +, he was quick to pour cold water on the rumours to rubbish it.

“There’s always speculation about me, about whether I’m going to leave to join other clubs. But there is nothing concrete. When there is something certain, rest assured that then I’ll talk to everyone.”

There were plenty of rumours on Neymar and his New Year party by taking drugs at France.

“I’m aware of everything that surrounds my name, both the good and the bad. Lately, many things have been made up such as being accused of taking drugs on New Year’s Eve.

“I’m a great athlete and a little crazy but I’m not that stupid. At the same time, I’m very happy because if you talk about me, it is because I’ve got a lot of quality and I’m among the best.”

The Paris Saint-Germain was also accused of exaggerating contacts by falling to ground too easily, the reputation he built since he made his move to Barcelona from Santos in 2013.

“I suffered from many fouls in the World Cup and if you look at those actions, most of the time there is a kick. It wasn’t theatrical and I am the only one to suffer those fouls. Defensive marking is hard because if they leave me alone, then I’ll make something happen for my team.

“Today, we talk a lot about what happened but as I said before, if we are talking about it, it is because it is about Neymar and all news will be amplified, be it positive or negative.”
