Neymar saves Dani Alves’ life. A hilarious video of the Brazilian duo warding off a giant insect surfaces on the Internet

Neymar saves Dani Alves’ life ahead of Brazil’s match against Colombia during the International break at the Hard Rock Stadium.

Brazilian duo Dani Alves and Neymar have been very close friends. They have shared kits for both club and country and in the process have formed a deep bond with each other. It was only natural therefore that Neymar would save Dani Alves when his life was in peril.

Before the match against Colombia, the two were seen warming up with Alves helping Neymar stretch. However, the experienced full back was unaware of the danger looming around him. A monstrous hornet/dragonfly hybrid (or was it a butterfly?) flew right on to his head putting him in immediate threat.

Close friend Neymar immediately noticed the behemoth on his friend’s temple. Visibly shaken (Understandably), the PSG superstar took a moment to collect himself. He then heroically put himself in harms way to protect his compatriot by deftly flicking over the ghastly creature.

The clip has been shared numerous times on social media; with the running joke being that Neymar saved Dani Alves’ life. The other being the blatant dive by the insect.

Football can sometimes be too stressful on the fans and the players. It is therefore nice to see a sweet yet funny moment like this surface from time to time.

The match wasn’t as sweet for the Brazilian’s though. Brazil were expected to bulldoze over Colombia. Instead the Selecao drew 2-2. Neymar himself had a mixed night.

He ended the match with an assist and a goal to his name. However, he almost got himself injured again after being pushed to the advertising board face first by Davinson in the 74th minute of the match.

Fortunately, no one was injured and Neymar completed the 90 minutes as he played his first match since returning from a foot injury he got back in June.
