Neymar to Barcelona: The Brazilian forward has responded to the rumors linking him with a move back to Barcelona.
The Brazilian forward has long been linked with a move to Barcelona. After a dismal world cup in Russia, there were speculations over Neymar’s future at Paris Saint Germain.
Many reports across Spanish and French media linked Neymar with a possible return to Spain, and a homecoming to FC Barcelona. However, no deal was put on the table from the club.
Recently, Mundo Deportivo reported that Neymar is unhappy at Paris Saint Germain and is eyeing a move away from the club. The Spanish outlet claimed that he would prefer a return to Barcelona, and that the club officials are aware of his situation.
However, Neymar has spoken on the situation himself. He took to Instagram to respond to the rumors regarding his future.
Neymar to Barcelona:
Neymar has been shining for Paris Saint Germain this season. The Brazilian star has now confirmed that he has no intentions of leaving PSG, and termed the reports from Spanish outlet as ‘fake news.’
For all the morons who still believe @mundodeportivo and @sport. This is a message from Neymar’s official site, so it was approved by Ney. pic.twitter.com/MofUMAwrno

In a fifteen-second video which he also posted on his official website, Neymar stated that he will stay at PSG, quashing all the speculations regarding his return to Barcelona.
Valverde: “Neymar? Any time of the season is good for thinking about these issues, but he plays for a different team. This is all speculation. Anything can happen in football, but it’s hard, unlikely. I don’t know, we’ll see.” #fcblive pic.twitter.com/8UPdXKCCHe

The Brazilian forward signed for the French club last year in a world record 222 million euros transfer fee. He has been the main man for the French side so far, and cruised the side to league title and domestic cup victory in his first season.
If Barcelona go after Neymar next summer, potentially they’ll lose out on De Ligt and De Jong, which are much more beneficial and important to Barcelona than Neymar.
He ruined our transfer window once, he shouldn’t be allowed to do it again.

However, his season was cut-short in February as he sustained an injury during the Champions League game against Real Madrid, which kept him out until the World Cup.
Xavi: “Messi and Neymar are different. I see Messi with great footballing maturity. He does everything well. Neymar is a person who has to mature, but he seems like a player with enormous capacity to make a difference.” [super deportivo de villa trinidad]

What next?
Barcelona are going through a rough patch at the moment, with the club being third in the La Liga table. Ernesto Valverde’s side will take on Sevilla, who are second in the league, later today.
The Catalan side is only one point ahead of Real Madrid, who are fifth.
