Neymar left Barcelona for a world record €222m. However, after two years with the Parisian Club, the Brazilian wants to go back to Catalonia. Barcelona have had multiple meetings with PSG but the club remain adamant that they will not sell until their demand of €300m is met.
Barcelona and PSG do not share a cordial relationship. Which is why PSG are hoping that Real Madrid will take Neymar of their hands instead. In spite of the risk from Real Madrid, Barcelona have decided to wait another year before making another bid for Neymar.
Barcelona decide to wait while PSG proposition Real Madrid
According to Mundo Deportivo, Neymar’s contract will see the introduction of a €170m release clause. Barcelona will wait till the next summer and then meet the figures. Having exhausted their funds on Frenkie De Jong and Antoine Griezmann this summer, Barcelona cannot hope to meet PSG’s demands.
Real Madrid’s reported bid of cash plus Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez and Keylor Navas was turned down by PSG earlier. However, AS have claimed that the Parisian are now asking for Vinicius Jr to be added in the deal. Real Madrid though, have refused. Los Blancos want to hold on to the highly rated teenager who was one of their best performers last season.
With less than a week for the transfer window to close, it is likely that Neymar’s immediate future will remain at the French Capital.
