Neymar Transfer: Real Madrid confirm zero interest in Neymar amidst intense transfer links

Real Madrid have no interest in Paris Saint Germain’s Neymar, despite rumours rumbling.

Real Madrid have confirmed about their stance in Former Barcelona forward Neymar. The Brazilian is currently unsettled at Paris Saint Germain – not abiding with the club’s regulations to train during the pre-season. With a view of forcing a move away from the club, director Leonardo has confirmed that Neymar’s name is put up in the transfer market.

Barcelona, along with Real Madrid, are touted as possible destinations for the 27-year-old. Since the Los Blancos have already signed four players, including Eden Hazard, Eder Militao, Luka Jovic, and Ferland Mendy, a multi-million move for Neymar is unlikely. The Brazilian will also turn 28 before the kick start of the 2020-21 season, which enables Florentino Perez to put full-stop to his long-term plan of luring Neymar to Santiago Bernabeu, as per the Spanish publication AS.

Additionally, his injuries have kept him out for more than six months in the last two seasons combined. It is another aspect which does not please the Spanish side as they plan for a crystal clear future. There has not been any direct or indirect contact between the selling club, buying club, and the player’s representatives. PSG are ready to sell him for 150 million, but that does not prompt Perez, who is eyeing his teammate Mbappe.

Rather than Neymar, Real Madrid are interested in Kylian Mbappe. The French International is yet to put pen to paper with the club as his contract expires in 2022. The Los Blancos board believe that they would be in a position to budge for the attacker before the 2020/21 campaign.

Mbappe’s talent, coupled with his experience at the top-level and marketing potential have lead Real Madrid to place him on the top of their wishlist. But, a Real Madrid rule for Neymar can be categorically ruled out.

Here’s how Twitter has reacted..

What’s next?

Neymar is striving to drive a move away from PSG, with Barcelona looking the possible next stop for the Brazilian. Florentino Perez is eyeing his teammate Kylian Mbappe, and not his long-term target Neymar.
