Aaron Rodgers and Damar Hamlin

Damar Hamlin’s horrific on-field collapse during the Bills vs Bengals MNF clash has raised some serious concerns about player safety in the NFL. The discussion has reached the White House as well.

Recently, the President of The United States Mr. Joe Biden stated that improving safety measures in football is the need of the hour. Good thing is, Damar has awaken and is recovering nicely.

Although he is being carefully monitored, the kind of improvement he has shown over the last few hours really shows that miracles can happen if the world unites for a common good.

Since his injury, innumerable footballers have also expressed what is going on in their minds. Recently, Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers made an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show where he explained how badly Damar’s injury has f*cked him up.

Aaron Rodgers is extremely disturbed after watching Damar Hamlin’s on-field collapse

We know we are the modern-day gladiators. We are providing entertainment for the masses and doing something we love, but we’re also putting our bodies and our future health on the line,” Aaron told Pat and A.J Hawke on the show.

“It’s bad enough when you see a guy getting carted off, right? That messes with you, or you see a guy take a really bad concussion shot, and you’re like, ‘man, I don’t want that to be me,’” he added.

Aaron went on to state that 24-year-old Hamlin’s gruesome injury has really f*cked his own psyche to a massive extent. “Am I going to have my cognitive function when I’m 50, 60? What kind of risk am I really setting myself up for? This kid’s 24 years old, right? This really, it f*cked me up last night,” the Packers QB claimed.

Indeed, Hamlin’s injury has forced people to talk about the ugly side of the game as well. Thankfully, he is recovering nicely. For the unversed, Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field during the first quarter of the Monday night clash against Joe Burrow’s Bengals.

He tried tackling Tee Higgins and fell on the ground. Although Damar was able to get up quickly, he looked disoriented and suddenly collapsed sending shock waves across the stadium.
