For the last two years, Deshaun Watson has remained under the close scrutiny of fans after more than two dozen women accused him of s*xual misconduct. He was slapped with several lawsuits, and finally, 23 of them got settled. However, netizens aren’t ready to stop their criticism of the Browns QB. Recently, the 27-year-old celebrated his mom’s birthday online and as expected, several fans ended up brutally roasting him for his past actions.

The Clemson product was offered a fully-guaranteed $230 million contract by the Cleveland Browns last season. They hoped the passer to play a pivotal role in their offense and salvage their ongoing slump. However, Watson had to serve the 11 game ban levied on him by the league which meant that the Browns were eventually left high and dry.
Deshaun Watson’s mother faces the wrath of netizens
Every year, the gunslinger joins his mother, Deann Watson on her birthday. Following the tradition this time around as well, Watson posted a cute picture alongside Deann on his Instagram wishing her a very happy birthday. While his true fans garnered similar vibes, few of them called him a “predator.” Some even asked his mother if her other children are predators too.
Are her other children predators too?

In April 2021, Watson was hit by an array of lawsuits from 23 women accusing the quarterback of s*xual misconduct during the massage therapy sessions. He was playing for the Houston Texans, and this accusation changed his professional career overnight. Instead of practicing and spending time on the field, Watson had to take the rounds of civil courts in hopes of settling these matters one by one.
So far, 23 of them got settled, and two more remain a headache. One of them was filed last year, and Watson was supposed to appear for a deposition on April 10. However, it was quashed by the judge following a back-and-forth between the dates. The final verdict is yet to arrive.
Following the civil lawsuits, NFL exercised its policies and slapped the passer with a hefty fine and suspension for going against the players’ code of conduct. He was suspended for 11 games last season and had to pay $5 million in compensation.
Deshaun Watson eventually apologized for his actions
This entire situation took a heavy toll on the veteran’s professional career. The entire NFL fraternity turned against him, and Watson received harsh criticism. Despite all the setbacks, the Clemson product remained calm and vowed to make a comeback. “I want to say that I’m truly sorry to all of the women that I have impacted in this situation,” Watson said in an interview, per CBS News.
“The decisions that I made in my life that put me in this position I would definitely like to have back, but I want to continue to move forward and grow and learn,” he had added. It will be interesting to see how he performs this season.
