Many people have come forth in support of Deion Sanders after the loss of Colorado, calling out the hypocrisy of Oregon coach Dan Lanning. Lanning in his pregame speech said that Coach Prime was fighting for clicks but they were fighting for wins while being on camera and ironically the clip got a lot of clicks. One of the people calling him out was former Denver Nuggets coach George Karl.

Karl took to Twitter (now X), to slam Lanning for his comments on Coach Prime. He doubled down on his approach after tweeting that the Oregon coach was back to anonymity while Coach Prime is still making headlines despite a big loss. Prime is certainly a phenomenon, and an influence over the masses with his bold and old-school style of coaching which is only bringing positive impact on the city of Boulder. However, watching him gain such authority so quickly has prompted his opponents to fire shots at him before every game.
Denver Nuggets Ex-Coach Throws Shades At Oregon Coach Dan Lanning
George Karl certainly wasn’t impressed with that remark on Deion Sanders. Watching the coach make such comments while being on camera made the coach tweet, “This is BS. He knew he was being filmed!” Many Ducks fans fired back at Karl for his tweet, so he had to make sure he doubled down on his comment.
He later made another tweet this time backing up Deion too, “I literally can’t remember the name of the Oregon football coach anymore. Back to generally anonymity. Maybe he needs more clicks? But everyone still remembers Coach Prime and the impact he’s having on his program and college football. Keep doing your thing, Deion!!”

It was certain that shots were being fired but this time he used coach Lanning’s words against him. The Oregon coach who does not believe in the power of social media to leverage his program hasn’t been heard of yet talking about the game after the win. While on the other hand, Coach Prime is taking this moment to show the world just how tough his team is.

It cannot be put into words what magic Deion Sanders has brought with his clicks to Colorado. His ingenious marketing strategies have not just led players to bag more NIL deals but also brought $18 million in business in just one week. Not to mention his viral sunglasses that started an internet trend because of his social media influence.
