It’s a good time to be a Bengals fan as the team is continuing to do what nobody really expected from them around a year and a half ago. The Bengals defied all expectations to reach the Super Bowl last season where they almost took the Lombardi away from the Rams.

In the final moments, Rams’ defense got the better of Joe and the Bengals emerged as the runner-ups. However, when they stepped into the 2023 season, not many were backing them to repeat their heroics. But the Bengals are proving yet again that are no one-season-wonder boys.
After winning the Wildcard Playoff round against the Lamar-less Ravens without much trouble, the Bengals moved into the Divisional Round game where they had the mighty Bills waiting for them.
It promised to be a humdinger but in the end, it proved to be a rather one-sided clash where Josh Allen’s unit came in second by a huge margin. With zero TDs, one interception for 265 yards, Allen failed to do anything substantial against the Bengals’ defense.
Joe Burrow & the Bengals are proving that they aren’t the ‘Underdogs’ anymore
In fact as soon as the contest started, it became clear that Burrow’s boys were not in a mood to play catchup. After getting a massive 14 point lead in the opening quarter, things became increasingly easy for the Cincinnati-based franchise and in the end, they prevailed without much hassle.
Burrow, who had a good day in the office with 2 touchdowns for 242 yards, had a special message for the league after the contest ended. During the postgame interview, Burrow was asked to comment on the fact that everybody was thinking about a neutral venue for the conference championship game and even the tickets were pre-purchased, not even considering his unit to make the cut.
Joe Burrow was asked about the NFL’s plans for a neutral site AFC Championship game, and the tickets that were pre-purchase.
“Better send them refunds”

In his response, with a smile on his face, Burrow stated, “better send them refunds.” While a few fans stated that Joe should be a little less cocky, many also opined that the man has well and truly earned it.
The Bengals are sending the message loud and clear that they are sick of being called ‘the underdogs.’ Till now, they have been sublime and would look to continue on their merry way going further into the competition.
