David Montgomery had a monster sophomore season in the NFL.
He rushed for 1,070 yards. Averaged 4.3 yards per attempt along with 8 TD.
He also proved to be dual threat as he had 438 receiving yards and 2 TD.

David Montgomery and Wilbert Montgomery’s Relation
David Montgomery and Wilbert Montgomery have no familial relations that can be traced. Confusion does arise due to the fact that they have the same last name and that they both played in the NFL, but that is where all ties end.
Wilbert Montgomery featured in the NFL both a season a coach and a player. He played with the Eagles from 1977-1984 and the Lions in 1985.
Additionally, he coached the Rams, Lions, Ravens, and Browns from 1997-2015. Like David Montgomery, Wilbert also played running back and he was prolific.
He made the Pro Bowl twice and was a two-token All-Pro. He was also inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame.
David Montgomery has had a troubled childhood, and that is what makes it easy to rule out the fact fact that Wilbert may be his father
David doesn’t know his father and his mom wasn’t continuously moving the family around as they faced economic hardship.
Currently, Montgomery is the starting running back for the Chicago Bears and has firmly established himself as a top back.
He finished tied for fifth in rushing yards this season, and he has been especially sensational the last few weeks. His play will be key if the Bears will want to beat the Saints.
