Dallas Cowboys Announces $180,000,000 Upgrade To the AT&T Stadium Which Will Host the 2026 FIFA World Cup

The Dallas Cowboys have made big plans to renovate the AT&T Stadium and it will cost Jerry Jones a whopping $180,000,000. The upgrades have been announced amidst the news that the North Texas officials were bidding on the stadium to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup which will be held in the USA.

This hefty renovation project is said to be a part of a larger $295 million set of stadium improvements three years ahead of the World Cup. As per the documents filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the America’s team plans to make considerable upgrades in their “interior refresh of premium clubs and suites with new millwork and finishes.”

Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium Set to Have a $180,000,000 Renovation

Jerry Jones, being one of the most influential figures in the NFL, wants to bring great things to Texas. He wants to provide the Dallas community with an evergreen sporting environment and bringing the 2026 FIFA World Cup to AT&T Stadium accomplishes that.

The ‘house that Jerry built’ was completed in 2009 and has since been home to the Dallas Cowboys. However, the stadium wasn’t all perfect. During a game between the Cowboys and the 49ers in 2022, one major flaw of the stadium came to light after the blinding sunlight made it difficult for the teams to play.

In June 2022, the team announced that the AT&T Stadium will be hosting a few games of the FIFA World Cup in 2026. Since then, the Cowboys have been planning to make some big changes to the stadium and this is one of the first upgrades that the stadium is going to get.

The 14-year-old stadium will be seeing a $180 million upgrade soon which will particularly focus on “new millwork and finishes.” Other improvements to the stadium will include a video board upgrade, seven upgraded pro shops, improved suite designs, and wellness spaces for the fans.

AT&T Stadium is Expanding Its Horizons

The AT&T Stadium has always seen a huge fan turnout because of the massive Cowboys fanbase. Moreover, the stadium, on several occasions, has hosted important events such as the Super Bowl XLV in 2011, and the NBA All-Star Game in 2010. But this time, Jerry Jones wants to take that up a notch by hosting a few games of the FIFA World Cup in 2026.

With the upcoming $295 million worth of stadium improvements, it is only going to help the community to a massive extent. And it will be a huge attraction for the Dallas Cowboys fans who are always hungry for new and improved experiences in the home stadium.
