Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams

Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers tore up every defense that they faced in 2020. The QB-WR pair became one of the best duos in the entire league. And now with Aaron Rodgers admitting that he is not interested in returning to the Packers in 2021, Davante Adams had a cryptic message that could be a shot at the organization.

In a team that wasn’t flushed with offensive weapons like the Chiefs or the Buccaneers, the Packers became the best and most efficient offense in the league. Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers looked inseparable on their way to being named All-Pros at their individual positions.

No one knows where Rodgers will be dropping dimes in 2021, but the likeliness of that happening in Green Bay seems minuscule. The initial report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter hasn’t changed: Aaron Rodgers wants out of Green Bay. As much as the Packers’ front office would like to change his mind, it’s a slim chance they get the job done.

Davante Adams posted a cryptic message on Twitter

The elite wideout posted a pretty cryptic message on Twitter Monday afternoon that seems to directly correlate with the ongoing Rodgers rumors.

Aaron Rodgers’ subtle dispute started when the receiver needy 13-3 Packers decided to draft a QB in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft. And now even after Aaron Rodgers was named MVP and set numerous records on his way to perform one of the most efficient single seasons in NFL history, The Packers still didn’t offer Rodgers a long-term contract. And it is now speculated that Aaron Rodgers won’t return to Lambeau Field unless GM Brian Gutekunst is fired.

Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams were great in 2020. But in the end, the duo could only do so much against teams with much more offensive talent. Super Bowl LV hosted the Buccaneers and the Chiefs, both of which had multiple 5 star receiving talents. And then the Packers drafted another defensive player in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft, which could be the final nail in the coffin for Aaron Rodgers.

It’s still speculation where Rodgers will end up in 2021. The 38-year-old may be in the final stages of his career but he proved that the Aaron Rodgers of old is still here. It will be very interesting to see who will be QB1 for the Packers in 2021.
