Darius Leonard

Darius Leonard is a very outspoken player, and he had a lot to say about Deshaun Watson’s allegations. Leonard was furious that media coverage was silent about Chad Wheeler but destroyed Watson without evidence.

The Colts linebacker is a rival of Watson as the two play in the AFC South, but Leonard was quick to show his support. Leonard also referenced Chad Wheeler’s case who was arrested for suspicion of domestic violence.

There is a lot to be unearthed regarding Watson’s case, but Leonard does make a point. The amount of coverage Watson’s case has received is far greater than Wheeler’s. However, that’s what happens when you’re a superstar quarterback in the league. All eyes are on you.

What Did Chad Wheeler Do? What Was Darius Leonard Referencing?

The former Seattle Seahawks offensive lineman was arrested for counts of  first-degree domestic violence assault, domestic violence unlawful imprisonment and resisting arrest. Supposedly, Wheeler attempted to choke his ex-girlfriend.

The incident took place on January 22nd. Both Wheeler and his ex have described the incident as a “manic episode.” Police responded to a call where Wheeler’s ex claimed she was being killed and was locked in a bathroom.

Apparently, Wheeler was furious that she wouldn’t bow down to him. He proceeded to throw her on to the bed and strangulate her.

His ex, Alleah Taylor, regained consciousness only to find Wheeler surprised she was alive. “Wow you’re alive?” was his reaction.

She had dislocated her arm and bruises all across her face. Ex-NFL player Emmanuel Acho tweeted pictures of Taylor showing her brutal condition.

If you’re not outraged, you’re part of the problem

Wheeler was out of jail after posting a $400,000 bail. However, a trial is scheduled to take place on June 1st.

What Will Happen To Deshaun Watson?

Watson’s case is extremely confusing. The number of lawsuits seem to increase by the day, but nobody is sure of anything. As of now, there still hasn’t been any hard evidence to indicate Watson has done anything wrong.

Watson’s attorney, Rusty Hardin, did respond with a statement regarding the allegations.

I’m extremely proud to represent Deshaun Watson and wholly stand behind him against what we believe are meritless allegations. However, we will wait to comment in detail until we’ve completed our review of the numerous, evolving allegations from Mr. Buzbee. We will responded next week and ask you to keep an open mind until we do so.

More updates to come as the case develops and moves forward.
