Packers legend Brett Favre has quickly become one of the most hated sporting icons on the planet. It all started when he was accused of misusing the money which was granted for the welfare of poor families in Mississippi. With a figure as monumental as $77 million involved in the whole ‘misappropriation of funds’ scandal, Favre was subjected to unending criticism on social media platforms. As if this scandal wasn’t enough, the former QB’s latest comments on Donald Trump and trans athletes have resulted in absolute mayhem on Twitter.

Brett recently went on Jason Whitlock’s The Fearless podcast where he talked in detail about how his country was better when Donald Trump was in the White House. Along with that, the 3x NFL MVP stated that “men who identify as women” should not be allowed to use the ladies restroom. As expected, his comments attracted widespread criticism on different social media platforms with several people calling him a fraud who shouldn’t be taken seriously.
Brett Favre gets destroyed on Twitter for making ‘unsavory’ comments about Trans people
Brett, who recently withdrew a defamation lawsuit filed against Pat McAfee, was starting to get some sort of public support. However, his comments on ‘The Fearless Podcast’ has enraged netizens once again. The champion QB, while talking about Donald Trump, said on the podcast that although he doesn’t agree with everything that the former President says, he believes that the Republic leader did care a lot about the people of America when he was in office.
“I think Donald was a non-political president, and I liked that about him. Was he perfect? Absolutely not. Am I perfect? Absolutely not. I’m flawed just like the rest of ’em. We’re all flawed. But I really felt like he had our country in a better place and really cared about our people in our country,” Favre stated.
Favre went on to claim that the fact that several men who aren’t women, are being allowed to use the ladies restroom, really shows where America is today. “I’m sorry. I just think some things we’re allowing in this country are beyond belief. Some of the thoughts and beliefs we’re seeing are crazy,” he added.
Brett went on to claim that while several current athletes do share the same thoughts as him on trans athletes, they are simply too afraid to say anything. “I think maybe the vast majority are afraid of what it’ll do to their career.” And here’s how fans reacted to Favre’s statements:
Hey Brett Favre, maybe you should look at yourself and give back all the money you stole from poor people in Mississippi before worrying about the trans community! 🤷

The Trump administration created the biggest crop of lightweight snowflakes EVER.
Kennedy — ‘ask what you can do for your country’.
Trumpers — I’m scared of Trans people.
Who would have imagined that Brett Favre was such a silly coward?

Brett Favre wouldn’t have the opportunity to say awful things about trans people if he was in prison where he belongs.

Brett Favre & the Mississippi Scandal
Back in 2017, as per CBS Sports, Brett had asked then-governor Phil Bryant for funds in order to build a new volleyball facility at the University of Mississippi. Many opine that Favre very well knew that what he was doing wasn’t right. This is because he had asked MCEC founder Nancy New to ensure that media doesn’t get to know about the source of the payment which was being made for the Volleyball facility.
Brett Favre: Will the media find out that we’re using welfare funds intended to help the poorest residents of America’s poorest state to build a volleyball center?
Nancy New: Nah. Oh yeah, the governor is fully on board!@ayewolfe five years later: https://t.co/rWXHRXISsu pic.twitter.com/wo3QuIYXaY

Nancy ensured him that the transaction will not be made public. However, the information went viral and Favre, along with several other individuals, had to face legal consequences. The NFL star claimed that he had no idea that the money being used was actually welfare money.
Till now, Favre has not been criminally charged and the investigation into the matter is still ongoing.
