With great contracts, come great responsibilities, at least in the NFL it does. The latest to inherit such a great contract is the Baltimore Ravens’ star signal-caller, Lamar Jackson. The historic end to almost 3 years of negotiation brought jubilation to Baltimore fans, though there are still who question if he is worth all that money. So, what can Jackson do to prove himself worthy of his massive contract?

Jackson and the Ravens signed a massive five-year extension contract worth $260 million. Of which, $185 million is guaranteed. Latest reports also suggest the inclusion of two other vital clauses in the contract: A no-trade clause, and a no-tag clause. It seems Jackson is being really cautious with his future at Baltimore, which he hope lasts for a very long time.
Kirk Morrison outlines what Jackson can do to earn his contract
Former NFL linebacker trend analyst appeared on the ‘Rich Eisen Show’ as the guest host, wherein he talked about Lamar Jackson and his contract extension. During the show, Morrison talks about what he feels the Ravens could achieve now that they have Jackson and an elite receiver corps. He thinks the Ravens could at least make the AFC Championship game this year.
Though, Morrison also feels that Jackson has to make it to the Super Bowl, or the AFC Championship at least, to prove that the Ravens have not made a mistake with him. Given the kind of talent Jacskon is going to work with, it should be no surprise if the Ravens start doing well. However, the AFC is a competitive conference, especially with the Chiefs, the Bills, and the Bengals all clawing at each other for the win.
Lamar Jackson could play spoilsport in the Chiefs’ title defense run
The Kansas City Chiefs begin this season as one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl and defend their title. While there face the normal amount of threat from the Bills and the Bengals, the Ravens could be the wild card that shakes the tree. Especially with the presence of veteran receiver Odell Beckham Jr. on the Ravens’ roster.
It will be interesting to see how Jackson and the Ravens shake up the already tense atmosphere in the AFC. With the Raiders attempting to make a mark in the league as well, it will take a lot of effort for the Ravens to stand out of the pack. For Jackson, this season could very well give him the best shot at winning a Super Bowl with the Ravens. Will his dream come true this year? Or will he have to wait?
