Deion Sanders Says Shedeur Sanders is No More on Top of His Kid Rankings; "He's Not Sonning Like He Should"

Sanders family’s influence resonates not only in college football but also in the NFL, as Shilo and Shedeur Sanders aim to make their mark in the NFL Draft. Adding to the intrigue, a team scout has shown interest in signing Deion Sanders’ sons. Interestingly, this particular franchise has a history entwined with the Sanders legacy.

Atlanta Falcons’ scout Rich Sanders made a notable appearance on Deion Sanders Jr.’s recent vlog on Well Off Media. During his visit to the Buffs’ training session, Rich took the opportunity to highlight Coach Prime’s talented offsprings and expressed a keen interest in signing the two emerging stars.

Atlanta Falcons Scout Sets Sights on Signing Shilo and Shedeur Sanders

Atlanta Falcons scout Rich Sanders was crystal clear with his approach at the Colorado Buffaloes’ practice. He is speculating on the possibility of a star-studded Falcons roster with the Sanders brothers. With talents like Shedeur Sanders, Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts, the Falcons could field an extraordinary offensive lineup.

“We gone get them Sanders boys. We ain’t coming back unless we bring those Sanders boys to the A, both of them.” Said scout Rich Sanders.

This statement holds a unique significance as it was precisely 34 years ago when Deion Sanders began his illustrious NFL journey as an Atlanta Falcon. Next year, the possibility of his two sons following the same path looms large. This development was reported by Bradon Deacon of NFL Rookie Watch on X.

Deion Sanders was selected as the fifth overall pick in the 1989 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons. His tenure in Atlanta excelled until 1993. He intercepted 24 passes, including seven in a remarkable 1993 season, three of which he returned for touchdowns. Furthermore, in 1992, he led the league in kickoff return yards (1,067), yards per return (26.7), and return touchdowns (two).

Reflecting on Deion Sanders’ Past Desire to Coach the Atlanta Falcons

Before embarking on his career as a college football head coach, Deion Sanders had NFL coaching aspirations. In 2003, he actively pursued the position of the Atlanta Falcons head coach, believing that with the team struggling 1-6 under Dan Reeves, the timing was right. Sanders had reportedly expressed his interest to owner Arthur Blank.

“I think it would work. Look, every man wants a challenge, right? Well, I’ve given this a lot of thought. This isn’t just some spur-of-the-moment thing. It’s not something crazy that I just suddenly dreamed up. It isn’t a joke. It’s the challenge I want.” Said Deion Sanders at the time, via ESPN.

Coach Prime believed that he could bring immediate transformation to the Falcons, despite his three-year prior NFL retirement and a career with CBS. The spotlight now shines on Shedeur Sanders and Shilo as the Falcons show interest. Will Deion Sanders join them, bringing Primetime to Atlanta with his coaching prowess? Such a move could bring a transformative shift for the Falcons.
