“I Can’t Name a Two-Time Heisman”: Tyreek Hill Wants Caleb Williams to Get NFL Ownership, but Knows It Will Never Happen
In the latest episode of football rumors, USC Trojans’ QB Caleb Williams apparently seeks equity in the NFL team that drafts him next year. This news spread like wildfire in the sports world, prompting numerous analysts and experts to chime in. Even Dolphins’ star WR, Tyreek Hill, shared his two cents on this intriguing development.
The reigning Heisman winner is a front-runner in all aspects, which makes him a possible first-round pick in the upcoming draft. However, his rumored demands could bring serious trouble. In a recent episode of the “It Needed To Be Said” podcast, host Tyreek revealed that while he wants Caleb to get what he aspires for, he is certain it’s close to impossible, given how the NFL works.
Tyreek Hill Genuinely Wishes for Caleb’s Success
When Cheetah’s co-host, Julius Collins, brought up Caleb’s rumored demands in the podcast, the star WR expressed how it was a game-changing idea. In his view, this could potentially revolutionize future contracts, if agreed by the team. Tyreek Hill feels that Caleb might win the Heisman once again, a feat he can’t recall anyone ever achieving, which would further enhance his appeal to NFL teams. In reference, only ex-Bengals Archie Griffin has ever won two Heisman Trophies.
Tyreek said in the interview, “I think he is trying to change the game. You got to think about it. He won the Heisman last year. He got a chance to win the Heisman this year. I can’t name a two-time Heisman winner. So, him being able to change the game and him being able to set his own wave and set the standard for the next generation of quarterbacks to come through. It’s going to be next level though,” followed by, “Now will it happen? With the way the NFL is, we already know the answer.”
Cheetah also showered praise on the USC QB for his athletic prowess and urged him to take his chances with the negotiations. While, the star WR wished for this deal to go down, according to the NFL rule book, it’s impossible.
Caleb’s Rumored Demands Can Never Be Fulfilled
Following the surface of the USC QB’s demands, SB Nations’s staff writer, James Dator, explained in an article how this deal is unachievable. He revealed how the NFL’s rule change in July, which explicitly bans teams from offering equity shares to players and employees, will be the first and final barrier to Caleb’s wishes.
The author also added how the reigning Heisman winner could potentially go undrafted if he stuck to his ground with the equity agreement. Caleb’s projected no. 1 overall pick could plummet to 2nd or 3rd, if the teams found this deal unconventional, potentially resulting in not being drafted.
Three months ago, the NFL blocked teams from giving equity to employees. We reported at the time that Aaron Rodgers and Caleb Williams had interest in equity. On Saturday, the story suddenly began to take on a second life via multiple aggregation accounts. https://t.co/8mmCJgoJYw

For the time being, Caleb hasn’t made any statement on these rumors. As per the rule book, it’s clearly impossible for him to ink such a deal with any franchise in the league. It will surely be interesting to see how this story develops.
