The Seahawks did however kick a field goal giving them a 2 possession lead. Russell Wilson also connected with Metcalf for a 30 yard passing touchdown on the opening drive.
Seahawks balance between pass and run game
Pete Carroll wasn’t happy with the way the Seahawks offense had overall played in the past 2 games. He wanted the Seahawk’s traditional run game to get going.
Against the Cardinals, the Seahawks rushed for fantastic 165 yards. Running back Carlos Hyde returned after missing a few games, and rushed for 79 yards. He averaged a solid 5.6 yards per carry. Wilson also ran for 40+ yards.
As for the passing game, Russell Wilson made better decisions today compared to his last 3 games. He threw 2 touchdown passes, no interceptions and completed 23/28 of his passes.
Russell Wilson, Seahawks take back the throne of the NFC WEST
Seahawks are now back on top of their division. If the Buccaneers beat the Rams on Monday, the Seahawks will stay number 1 in the NFC west.
Seahawks now have one of the easiest schedules ahead. Their next games are against the Eagles, Giants, Jets and Redskins. It’s safe to say that Seattle now has a little less pressure.
