"Jalen Hurts Signature Jordan Dropping Soon?": Eagles QB's Rollicking Cameo in Teyana Taylor's Commercial Leaves Fans Wanting for More!

Singer-songwriter Teyana Taylor is the latest celebrity to have her own signature ‘Jordan 1’ sneakers. Though, it seems she needed a little help from the sporting world to promote her launch. For this, she roped in last year’s MVP runner-up, and one of the highest-paid QBs in the NFL, Jalen Hurts, to feature in a short film for the launch.

Hurts made a name for himself last season after leading his team, the Eagles, to the Super Bowl. Though they eventually lost to the Chiefs, he was able to establish himself as a dominant force in the league. His iconic motivational speeches often go viral and now when the world has seen that he has the swagger which an athlete needs to become a more marketable figure, fans want to know if he is going to drop his own signature sneaker in the near future.

Fans feel that Jalen Hurts should have his own sneaker line with Nike

The film, titled ‘Love Letter to Harlem’, brings to the audience the Air Jordan 1 Zoom Comfort 2 sneaker. The movie is already garnering a lot of positive attention on social media. Especially because of Jalen Hurts’ involvement, who apparently deserves his own line of shoes according to some fans. “Jalen Hurts signature Jordan dropping soon? Can’t wait till he gets his Jordan deal. Give us a Jordan x Jalen collab,” were just some on the comments on Eagles Nations’ Twitter post through which Teyana’s cinematic commercial was shared.

Hurts‘ relationship with Nike has been a long-standing one. He has been regularly seen sporting sneakers and shoes from the multi-billion dollar brand, which is the official jersey sponsor for the Eagles. Even on Super Bowl day, Hurts was spotted wearing rather affordable Nike sneakers. Though as one of the highest-paid QBs in the league, he shouldn’t have any difficulty procuring even the most expensive ones.

The Eagles recently offered Hurts a $255 million, 5-year contract, that gives him an annual income of $51 million. “It’s an exciting moment,” Hurts said back then while referring to his deal.  “But I think I’ve set the precedent for what it is that I desire. I can’t help but keep the main thing the main thing in what I set out to do and what this organization sets out to do. Be the best version of myself and that hasn’t changed,” he had stated.

To add to the super lucrative deal, the way fans are campaigning to have a Jalen-Jordan collab, we can expect the Eagles QB’s net worth to grow even further in the time to come.

Hurts and the Eagles have a long season ahead of them

There is no doubt that the Eagles enter this season as one of the favorites to lift the Vince Lombardi trophy. However, the journey to the Super Bowl will not be a rosy affair. This season, they have the league’s toughest strength of schedule, standing at a whopping 0.566. A schedule that sees them play a Super Bowl rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Eagles will also be facing the Bills, the Cowboys, the 49ers, and the Seahawks, one after the other. Though they finished last season with a 14-game win record, things may not be the same this time. Though there is no doubt that the Eagles will be able to snatch a pace in the playoffs.

Jalen Hurts will be hoping his team is up to the task this season as well. Their surprise start last year took the league by storm, and Hurts will be hoping they can recreate that same success this time around. He will most definitely be excited about the prospect of facing the Chiefs, to deliver some much-needed revenge without a Super Bowl at stake. Will these two teams meet each other for the final prize again?
