Josh Allen Has the Weight of the NFL World on His Shoulders, NFL Analysts Believes He's Under the Most Pressure

Josh Allen is an MVP candidate, a franchise quarterback, and a superstar in every right. And yet, many believe he faces the most pressure going into the 2023-24 season. The Buffalo Bills are one of the best teams in the AFC, and they have every right to be confident about another potential Super Bowl run next season. However, with shortcomings in the past few years, it might be time for Josh Allen and the team to finally step up and deliver.

Allen broke out in the 2020-21 season, leading the Bills to a 13-3 record and their strongest chance to take it all in the AFC. However, they weren’t a match for the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes, who easily flew past them. The next year, the team made it back in position to challenge for the Super Bowl. They lost a heartbreaker of a game to Kansas City once more, a game where Josh Allen didn’t even get the opportunity to lead his team down for a game-winning drive.

This last year, the Bills once more finished 13-3, but they couldn’t make it past the Cincinnati Bengals in the Divisional Round. It might finally be time to stop making excuses for Josh Allen and the Bills and acknowledge that they need to pull things off.

NFL Analysts Discuss How Josh Allen Faces Tremendous Pressure

The Buffalo Bills are always going to be one of the premier teams in the AFC with Josh Allen at the helm, but it’s time they start living up to their name value.

This year, they have the added threat of their division being the most challenging it has been in recent memory. After Tom Brady’s departure, the Bills have been the cream of the crop in the AFC East, but that might change this year.

The Miami Dolphins have improved, and they showed tremendous promise when Tua was healthy. Now with Jalen Ramsey in the secondary, their already scary defense just got a lot better. The New York Jets are the talk of the offseason after adding MVP Aaron Rodgers to the team.

The unknowns are there with New York, but with Aaron Rodgers, you can guarantee the team will be immensely competitive game in and game out. Finally, the New England Patriots appear to be headed towards a major decline, but with Bill Belichick, there’s no counting them out ever.

That’s why NFL analysts have Josh Allen facing so much pressure to win. He will be tested this year, and he has to prove that he can step up and handle the adversity.

Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs’ Altercation a Thing of the Past?

Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs had words for each other during the Bills’ loss to the Bengals, and it’s something that the NFL analysts talked about when discussing the pressure Allen faces going into this year.

However, is that an ongoing situation, or is it done and dusted? It seems like the moment was more something that happened in the heat of the loss. Diggs acknowledged as much after the loss. The connection Allen and Diggs have built over the last few years is incredible.

It’s a little silly to think they’d be holding on to a grudge from so long ago, especially considering how competitive they are.
