‘Who’s the wrong team, Packers’ : Justin Fields already hates the Packers and Bears fans are all for it.
The Chicago Bears drafted their future leader in Ohio State QB Justin Fields. And in a short time, the former Buckeye is already winning over the Bears’ fan base. Fields took a subtle dig at divisional rivals, the Green Bay Packers, and the fans are all for it.
If Justin Fields does succeed and become the next great Bears QB, he will definitely play a big part in one of the NFL’s oldest rivalries i.e Bears vs Packers.
In a scene from the Bears’ behind-the-scenes video series 1920 Football Drive, Fields and quarterbacks coach/passing game coordinator John DeFilippo were chatting about Fields’ center, Josh Myers, at Ohio State. DeFilippo asked where Myers was drafted, and Fields replied: “To the wrong team.” When the conversation continued, DeFilippo asked Fields what team he was talking about. The reply… “ The Packers”.

Justin Fields and his center Josh Meyers made two trips to the College Playoffs, the latter of which ended with a National Championship appearance. Meyers’ protection was crucial in the Fields’ excellent production during his 2-year tenure at Ohio State. Fields went 20-2, averaged 259.1 passing yards a game, and threw 67 touchdowns and nine interceptions in his two seasons at Ohio State. He also added 867 rushing yards, 15 scores, and was a two-time Big 10 Offensive Player of the Year.

Justin Fields became a household name in Chicago after the Bears took a chance and traded up to draft the Ohio State Buckeye with the 10th overall pick. Fields will have a ton of expectations to fulfill for Bears fans, but he seems to have gotten onto the right track.
