Star quarterback Jalen Hurts recently signed a contract extension that was worth a whopping $250 million. This enormous deal was made possible by his agent, Nicole Lynn. However, a while back, it was Lil Wayne’s sporting agency, Young Money Sports, which represented him. But then the Eagles QB decided to leave the Grammy-winning rapper’s sporting agency. Many wondered what exactly forced Hurts to take that step.

Skip Bayless, an immensely famous sports analyst and best friend of Lil Wayne, added his two cents to the ongoing discourse. According to him, it was because of Lil Wayne’s relationship with the former president, Donald Trump that Hurts decided to look for a different representative.
Skip Bayless revealed what went wrong between Jalen Hurts and Lil Wayne
Both Hurts and Lynn parted ways with the agency, but Bayless revealed an eye-brow raising reason behind why that happened. “Wayne was crushed over these developments,” Bayless, who is a close friend of Wayne, said in his podcast. “Wayne loves Jalen Hurts as much or more than I do. … His heart was hurt over this.” Even though he admitted he does not really know the real reason behind Hurts’ departure, he went on to present his own “report.”

“There has been some speculation that I’m vaguely aware of that it had something, maybe a little something or a lot something, but something to do with the picture that was taken of Trump and Wayne, when Wayne went to talk to Trump about that $500 billion package that was aimed at creating jobs for the black community in October 2020,” Bayless said.
“I don’t know much about politics. I am not political as my wife will tell you, I did not vote for Donald Trump,” the analyst went on to add.
Bayless will no longer root for the Eagles QB
While talking about the issue, Skip also claimed that he has been huge fan of Jalen Hurts from the day he was drafted. He was sure that the former Sooners QB will change the destiny of the Philadelphia-based franchise. Bayless, known for being a lifelong Cowboys fan, had no issues while showering praise on Jalen which says a lot about how highly he thinks of him.
However, Skip went on to claim that he will not continue to be a Jalen Hurts fanboy. “That will no longer be the case,” he stated. Coming back to Skip’s Donald Trump angle, it is important to note that Bayless himself stated that he was only speculating. However, his speculations might have some substance as he is indeed very close to Lil Wayne.
