NFL Power Rankings 2021: This offseason has changed the NFL completely. From major trades to important signings, teams have undergone drastic changes.

Here are some of the top teams in the NFL who will be competing for winning the Super Bowl in the upcoming season:

1. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Top of NFL power rankings 2021)

The Buccaneers brought back all their 22 starters coming off from a super win last season. This makes them automatic competitors this year.

Tom Brady will be looking for his 8th ring while the offense is one of the most explosive in the NFL. Wide Receivers Mike Evens, Antonio Brown and Chris Godwin create arguably the best trio of receivers in the league. Brady and Rob Gronkowski’s connection doesn’t seem to be going anywhere either.

On defense, the talented linebacker core and edge rushers will once again look to dominate. They went from the 15th best defense in 2019 to finishing sixth in 2020, and they’ll only be looking to get better.

2. Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs primary focus was protecting Patrick Mahomes II and they look to have done so. Signing notable players such as Joe Thuney and Kyle Long solidifies the guard position. Also, Trading for tackle Orlando Brown and also drafting center Creed Humphrey creates a formidable offensive line.

Behind an absolutely elite offensive line, Mahomes should be safe in the pocket which gives pass-catchers Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce time to create explosive plays downfield

3. Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen had a stellar season last year and is very much in the discussion for winning the 2021 NFL MVP award. Finishing with 37 passing touchdowns last year, Allen will be looking to go even further with the help of star receiver Stefon Diggs.

Coming into the draft, the Bills addressed one of their weakest position: Pass rush. Drafting edge rushers Gregory Rousseau and Carlos Basham Jr. should provide them raw talent at the position. Lockdown cornerback Tre’davious White should create problems for any offense as well.

4. Cleveland Browns

The Brown’s primary goal was to upgrade their defense and they excelled in doing so. Bringing in cornerback Troy Hill and safety John Johnson III immediately tightens up the secondary. Additionally, signing Jadeveon Clowney to play alongside Myles Garrett creates a nightmare for any offensive line.

On offense, Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt form a dynamic 1-2 punch at the running back position. Baker Mayfield throwing to Jarvis Landry and Odelle Beckham Jr. is always fun to watch too.

5. Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson now has Sammy Watkins, Marquise Brown and Rashod Batement to throw too. With Mark Andrews accompanying the talented passing attack as well, Jackson has the ability to be the most dangerous dual-threat quarterback in the league.

Moreover, cornerbacks Marlon Humphrey and Marcus Peters continue to be one of the best cornerback pairs in the league while linebacker Patrick Queen will be looking to take a further leap this season as well.

Honorable mentions for NFL power rankings 2021

  1. Green Bay Packers
  2. Seattle Seahawks

  3. Los Angeles Rams
